Day 1: Dushanbe - Hissor - Dushanbe
You will be met at the airport and accompanied to Dushanbe. Then we will drive 35 km to visit Hisor fortress (VII-XVII centuries) and see fortified areas as well as citadel. The fortress used to be the residence of the representative of the Emir of Bukhara and located on a high hill and was well defended walls. In past times there was a pool and a garden and crossways from the fortress there was a busy market square with a caravan serai and shops. Being in Hisar you will see the recently restored monuments of "Madrasa I Kuhna" (16th-17th centuries), mosque; the mausoleum of "Mahdumi Azam" (16th century). Afterwards visit Botanical garden and Victory Park with a panorama view on the city. Night is in a hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe - Norak - Kalai Khum
Drive to Kalai Khum village. We will see Norak water reservoir called Tajik Sea. The highest point of the day is Shuraba pass (2 267 m) and drive along Afghanistan border. This part will amaze you by its exclusive mountain of the Territory of Pamir Mountains. The Pamirs have enthused the world's greatest explorers of Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar. We will drive via natural border - Pyanj River. Rest is in a homestay.
Day 3: Kalai Khum - Rushan
The tour will start by driving to Rushan. It is 10 km from Kalai Khum. You will see a great fortress built in the III century and in 2013 got refurbishment. Then we will drive to Rushan. On the way we will see many Afghan villages and risky path on the rocks from left side of Panj river. Rushan is the first region where start Pamirian life. Pamirian people vary from others by their tradition, language, religion and so on Overnight is in a homestay.
Day 4: Rushan - Bartang Valley - Trek to Jizew
Travel to Bartang valley. The Bartang Valley is one of the roughest and most unforgettable valleys in the western Pamirs. Even the Pamiri themselves reflect the Bartang valley as the most ideal region of their birthplace. On the one hand most of the Non Bartangi view their nationals, especially those from Upper Bartang, with deferential respect due to their punitive living conditions. On the other hand, they are captivated in the face of the age-old civilisations that are still alive in this mainly distant region. We will trek to Jizew valley and get the life of nomads on the mountains. Overnight is in a homestay.
Day 5: Jizew - Rushan - Khorog
Drive to Khorog enclosed by mountains. The town was built on the convergence of the 3 rivers where Shokhdara river and Ghund river flow into Pyanj river. On the way to Khorog you will meet Pamir people. The Pamir people differ from the Tajik people. Amongst the Pamiris, there is a high level of people with blonde hair, fair skin and blue eyes. Pamirs Mountains are the uppermost mountains in the world with human population after the Himalayas in Tibet. Night is in a guesthouse.
Day 6: Khorog
Today the whole day is devoted to a city city tour. We will visit the Botanical Garden. The city is enclosed by gardens. Over the east part of the city at an altitude of 2320m above sea level on the seaside zone of the Shakhdara River is positioned the renowned Pamir Botanical Garden with unique plants. Effort is ongoing on adaptation of plants in mountain conditions. Then we will visit city park and handicraft shop, museum as well as local bazar. We will see today the main highlights of Khorog and get facts about Pamirian people. Night is in a guesthouse.
Day 7: Khorog - Kalai Khum
Guests will travel to Kalai Khum. This area is famous for high rocky mountains over 6 000 meters. On the way everyone will have an opportunity to enjoy the great nature, history and everyday life of mountain dwellers. On the way we will stop in small villages to interconnect with local people and find their customs. Human settlements are located on both sides of the river in slight mountain valleys. On the other side of the river you will see Afgan stony villages and gardens. Night is in a homestay.
Day 8: Kalai Khum - Khoburubot - Dushanbe
In the morning we will drive to Dushanbe by mountain road. We will drive over high Khoburubot Pass (3 252) as Western Pamir Tract. The road goes via the most charming river valley and remarkable gorges in the territory. See small villages and meet local people. Tajiks are hospitable and kind people. This nation importantly regards its backgrounds and folklore. This journey is gorgeous for the fans of exotics and wild nature. Night is in a hotel.
Day 9: Flight
In the morning is transfer to airport. Flight for the next destination.
