Tour summary:
Day 1: Bishkek - Karakol
Your guide will pick you up at Manas International Airport and drive you 30 min. to Bishkek City. In Bishkek city after your breakfast you move to the heavenly Issyk Kul Lake. There are 200 km from Biskek till Issik - Kul. On our way to the biggest lake in Kyrgyz Republic, we will visit the Burana Tower (watch tower of 11 century) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). The Lake is also called "The treasure of Tien - Shan Mountains". In Cholpon - Ata you will also have an opportunity to visit ancient stone depictions (dating back to 800 B.C.), including the local Issyk - Kul museum. Dinner will be served in a restaurant in Karakol at 8 p.m. Also you can have a folklore show there for additional price. Night is in a Guesthouse.
Day 2: Karakol - Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley
You start this day with a guided Karakol City Tour that includes visiting of the Dungan mosque made in Chinese style, very colorful wooden Orthodox Church and museum of the greatest Russian explorer - M.V. Prejvalsky that is located at the high shore of Issyk Kul Lake. After traditional lunch we start transfer to Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley (70 km). On the way, you will see very impressive red mountains and have a chance to visit mineral sources of hot springs at Jeli Suu ( Dungan Village). From there you start your horseback riding tour to the Chong Kyzyl Suu. Dinner and overnight stay will be in yurts. It is traditional nomadic dwelling, made of wooden frame and felt in spite of that it provides warmth and comfort in any season.
Day 3: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Ashu Tor - Chong Kyzyl Suu (6h.)
In the morning we leave the village and start the hike to the Ashu Tor pass (2800m) and further to a shimmering alpine lake. There you will have lunch on the shore. The altitude allows seeing mountain goats there. After exploring of the surroundings we will come back to the station. Dinner is served at 8 p.m. This night you will spend in yurts again.
Day 4: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Jumakuchak
After breakfast we start ride toward Jumakuchak. We will move 6 hours, first, across small Jumalai pass and then along the amazing gorge. We will have a picnic there on the pass with an astonishing view of the flaring surface of Issyk-Kul Lake. Overnight is in Jumakuchak in tents between nomadic yurts of Kyrgyz. There is a good chance to taste traditional food and drinks here. Traditional dinner is served at 7 p.m.
Day 5: Jumakuchak - Kok Terek village
The day starts with a fascinating journey across the red cave that is called "500 rams" according to an ancient legend. For lunch we will stop at the small mountain waterfall. This waterfall is situated very close to hot mineral springs (40 degrees Celsius) that are also possible to visit if you will want. Afterwards, we continue our way to Kok Terek village. Our dinner and overnight will be in a home stay at the Kok Terek village.
Day 6: Kok Terek - Bishkek
Early in the morning we start driving to Bishkek city along the southern shore of the amazing Issyk-Kul Lake (380 km). You will arrive to Bishkek at around 5 pm and accommodated in a local Hotel ****. At 7 pm you will be invited to a farewell dinner in a restaurant.
Day 7: Bishkek - Europe
After breakfast your guide will transfer you from the hotel to Airport.
