Tour summary:
Day 1: Bishkek city
Your guide will collect you from the International Airport of Manas and accompany you to Bishkek City. The drive from the Airport to Bishkek takes half an hour. Upon arrival in the capital you will start the day with a nice breakfast. The day will be entirely dedicated to a guided Bishkek city tour. The sightseeing tour in Bishkek includes the visiting of many sights, such as the National philharmonic, Ala-Too Central Square, Old Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Art Gallery, Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the Historical Museum of Kyrgyzstan, Osh Bazaar. Lunch. You will spend the night in a Hotel****. Dinner will be served in the restaurant at 7 p.m.
Day 2: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley
Your breakfast is served at 8 o'clock in the hotel. Today we start our trip (120km) by car from Bishkek City to the Valley of Chon Kemin. Traditional lunch is included. This day you will have also a short excursion in Issyk-Ata gorge that is famous for its thermal springs of mineral water. En route the Complex of Burana will be visited. It includes the Tower itself - minaret of 11th century A. D. and cemetery of Balbans (stone monuments that were put only in the honor of the bravest Turkic warriors). At 7 o'clock in the evening we will arrive in the Kalmak Ashuu Guesthouse that is in Chon - Kemin Valley. Your dinner will be served after having checked in.
Day 3: Chong Kemin - Son Kul Lake
After breakfast we start our drive to the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan Son Kul Lake. Lunch will be taken on the way. Son Kul Lake is surrounded by mountains and it is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan, situated at an altitude of 3013 meters above sea level. Kyrgyz nomads started to come to this wonderful area with their families for rest and relaxation. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a pastureland. After our arrival, you will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings. Dinner and overnight in nomadic collapsible dwellings - yurts. It is made of a wooden skeleton, covered with felt coverings. Yurts are built without nails.
Day 4: Son Kul Lake
After your breakfast that is served at 8 o'clock you will have some spare time at Son Kul Lake, what gives you the perfect opportunity to explore on your own its nature. It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture. Optionally, you can ride on a horse along the lake, or just relax admire the atmosphere of the wild and calm natural world. Our lunch will be served at 2 p.m. After lunch you will visit also the site of the ancient petroglyphs and ritual stones of shamans that are called Tulga - Tash. Dinner will be served in the yurt camp. You will spend the night in the yurt like a real nomad.
Day 5: Son Kul Lake - At Bashi
After a strengthening breakfast we leave the Guesthouse at 8 o'clock by car that brings us to the At Bashi valley (200km). You will be carried away by the amazing scenery offered through views the untouched nature. Your dinner will be served at 7 p.m. After that you will spend the night in yurts.
Day 6: At Bashi - Tash Rabat (Stone castle) Caravanserai
After packing your luggage, at 8 o'clock in the morning you will be served with your breakfast. Today our route leads us to the Great Silk Road Tash Rabat Caravanserai, which construction refers to the 14th century A. D. The building has no analogue in the whole world, because it was made of stones and furthermore it was built inside a mountain at a height 3200 m above sea level. Totally there are 31 rooms in the mountain. Tash Rabat is located at the very heart of Tian Shan Mountains. The walls thickness is about 1 meter. There are also dungeons for medieval thieves. At 7 p.m. national dinner will be served. This night you will spend near by the Tash Rabat caravanserai in yurt camp.
Day 7: Tash Rabat - Kochkor Valley
Breakfast. Transfer (185 km) to the Village of Kochkor. In Kochkor Village you will meet a family that will demonstrate you the way of the Kyrgyz national felt carpets (ala kiyiz) production. You even could make your own felt carpet. With a local family in Kochkor you will have a traditional dinner that will be accompanied with national music show. In Kochkor guesthouse you will spend the night.
Day 8: Kochkor Valley - Tamga Village
Your breakfast will be served at 8 o'clock in the morning. After breakfast it will be transfer (200 km) to the Issyk-Kul Heavenly Lake. On the way you will drive through the dazzling valley and you will pass the reservoir of Orto Tokoi. As soon as we are in the Village of Tamga you will have spare time to lie on the warm sand or swim in the lake. Issik - Kul is the second largest alpine lake in the world. The Lake (1608m.above sea level) is also called "The treasure of Central Asia". Lake Issyk Kul possesses curative qualities owing to the fact that the water is salty. In Tamga Guesthouse at 7 p.m. your dinner will be served. You will also spend this night in Tamga.
Day 9: Tamga - Karakol
At 8 o'clock in the morning the day starts with a breakfast. Till afternoon you have spare time for leisure or to swim in the lake. Later, we will commence our drive (50km) to Karakol by vehicle. In Karakol you will have a lunch. The rest part of this day will be devoted to a guided City Tour in Karakol. The tour includes: the visit of the museum of M.V. Prjevalsky, one of the world's greatest explores, whose biggest successes were the crossing of the great Taklamakan Desert and more than 4000 animals discovery, including the Horse of Prjevalsky; you will visit also the Dungan mosque that was built without using a single metal nail in Chinese style; after that is the visit of an old wooden Orthodox Cathedral. Dinner will be at 8 p.m. Overnight is in the guest house in Karakol.
Day 10: Karakol - Altin Arashan ("Golden Spa") - Karakol
This day is dedicated to the excursion in Altin Arashan gorge that is one of the most famous gorges in Karakol because of the Tian-Shan fur trees that grow everywhere there. After fortifying breakfast you will be transferred to the Altin Arashan Gorge by heavy 4WD Russian military vehicle. You will have a lunch in the gorge of incredible splendor. After taking a bath in hot springs (there are some special little cabins) you will have one hour hike in the valley and after that you will be transferred back to Karakol. At 7 p.m. traditional dinner will be served. Overnight stay is in the guesthouse.
Day 11: Karakol - Cholpon Ata
At 8 o'clock breakfast is served. After having breakfast, it will be transfer (120km) to Cholpon Ata that is the most popular resort town on the northern shore of the lake. We will go along the sparkling pearl of Central Asia - Issyk-Kul Lake northern shore. At 1 pm, on the way, we will make a short break, where you can enjoy lunch in a tranquil atmosphere. After lunch, we will go on excursion to the ancient carvings on the boulders that are dated back to 800 B.C. we will also visit Issyk - Kul museum in Cholpon - Ata. You will be able to enjoy the full beauty of the lake during one more break, where you go on a one hour cruise on a steam boat. In the Hotel, at 7 p.m. your dinner will be served. You will spend the night in the hotel.
Day 12: Cholpon Ata - Bishkek
Breakfast is at 8 o'clock. Till 11 o'clock you have a spare time on the beach. Drive through a stunning Boom Gorge to Bishkek City is 280km. by vehicle. In the hotel**** you will spend this night. Dinner is served at 7 p.m.
Day 13: Bishkek - Europe
You will be met in the hotel at the time arranged previously according to your flight details and accompanied to the Airport of Manas.
