This adventure represents a great chance to discover the superb land of heavenly mountains, situated in the heart of Central Asia. The whole tour goes along the Great Silk Way passing all the way through the exciting Tian Shan Range. You will visit Arslan Bob relict walnut forests; Tash Rabat Caravanserai that refers to the 14th century A. D.; the charming Son Kul Lake, which is situated on a high flat terrain (3013m. above sea level) in the centre of Kyrgyzstan. You will be taken back to the time of nomadic way of life, their mores, culture and food. You will enjoy seeing untouched nature, wild places, and remarkable highlights of the middle centuries!
Tour summary:
Day 1: Bishkek - Arslan Bob
Breakfast is at 8 o'clock. After having breakfast we start our drive to Arslan Bob Village by car. Along the whole way to the walnut forests you will see abundance of charming places that will astound you by their magnificence. Arslan Bob is one of the most famous places in the republic. Here are the trees that reach a height of 30 meters and are found growing wild on mountain slopes of Chatkal and Fergana Ranges, along river banks at an altitude of between 1000 and1800 meters above sea level. The Village of Arslan Bob lies itself at 1700 meters above sea level. You will spend this night in the home stay.
Day 2: Arslan Bob - Kazarman Village In order to cross the Mountains of Pamir Alai to drive in the heart of Tien - Shan Mountain system we will return back to the Town of Uzgen. You will have a perfect opportunity to admire the nature of the stunning mountains. Your dinner will be served as soon as we arrive in the Village of Kazarman. In the home stay you will spend the night.
Day 3: Kazarman - Tash Rabat Caravanserai You will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock after packing your baggage. Then you will be transferred to the Tash Rabat- Caravanserai on the Great Silk Road (Stone Castle from the 14th century). You will be carried away by the incredible scenery offered through views the untouched nature. Tash Rabat is located at the very heart of Tian - Shan Mountains. And it has no analogue in the whole world, because it was made of stones and furthermore it was built inside a mountain at a height 3200 m above sea level. The thickness of walls is about 1 meter.There are 31 rooms in total. There are also underground prison cells for medieval convicts. At 7 p.m. traditional dinner will be served. The night you will spend in yurt camp nearby the Tash Rabat Caravanserai. Yurts are built without a single nail. It is made of a wooden carcass, covered with thin felt mats.
Day 4: Tash Rabat - Son Kul Lake Breakfast. Transfer from Tash - rabat Caravanserai to the 2nd largest and the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan Son Kul. On the way lunch will be taken. Son Kul Lake is surrounded by mountains and it is situated at the altitude of 3013 meters a. s. l. The Kyrgyz nomads started to come to this wonderful area and to use it as a pastureland. You will be free to walk around and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings after our arrival. Dinner. Overnight stay is in nomadic collapsible habitations - yurts. Yurts are manufactured without a single nail, and are made of a wooden skeleton, covered with thin felt mats.
Day 5: Son Kul Lake - Kochkor village Strengthening breakfast. Afterwards you will be transferred (185 km) to Kochkor village. In the Kochkor village you will meet a family that can demonstrate you the way of how national woolen felt carpets are produced. You even can create your own felt rug. You will have a traditional dinner with a local family. Overnight stay is in the guesthouse.
Day 6: Kochkor village - Burana Tower - Bishkek At 8 o'clock you will be served with your breakfast. Then you will be transferred to Bishkek city through the picturesque Boom Gorge. En route we will visit the Burana Tower Architectural Complex (minaret of 11 century) and the open air museum of Balbans - stone warriors that are dated the Turkic period. In Bishkek you will have a guided city tour, during which you will visit the most interesting places and monuments. A farewell dinner is served at 7 o'clock in the evening. Overnight is in the hotel***.
Day 7: Bishkek - Europe Transfer from the hotel to the International Airport of Manas.
